If you have any amount of necklaces you've probably experienced that tragic moment when you go to grab your favorite necklace only to discover that, by random some force of nature, it has become hopelessly entangled in every other necklace you own. I have personally struggled through 20 min of untangling my necklaces but fortunately those days are over (why does this sound like an infomercial?) Anyways, I figured out the perfect method of storage that keeps my necklaces organized and displays them in a super cute way! I wanted to share it with you guys cause I think a lot of you probably can relate with the struggle of keeping jewelry organized. Plus, it is super easy, cheap, and takes literally only 5 minutes!
Bonus: Its also a great little gift idea!
Step 1: Supplies
-1 piece of cork board
-1 frame
-5 thumbtacks
-a marker
-scissors (or exacto knife)
These items are super affordable and you can find them at your local Target, office supply store or craft store! If you use an x-acto knife to cut the cork board be very careful and make sure you have your parents permission!
Step 2: Measure and Cut
You'll need to cut a piece of cork board that will fit snuggly into your frame. The easiest way to do this is to use the paper that comes inside the frame, lay it on top of the cork and trace around it. If you don't have the paper then I suggest just laying the frame on the cork and then tracing around the middle of the frame.

Now that you have the cork traced out, it's time to cut it out! I used a pair of scissors for this which was...well not ideal. It was a bit of a struggle but it still did the job (even if there was some jagged edges haha). If you are able, I recommend using an x-acto knife or box-cutter, depending on the thickness of your cork.
Step 3: Assemble

Now for the easiest part! Just fit your cork piece inside the frame and be sure to fold down the little prongs in order to keep it in place. Then, put the pushpins along the top of your cork and hang up your jewelry!
I hope this little DIY could help you organize your jewelry so that you never encounter another tangled, knotted or somehow tied together necklace!
