If you know me then you know that my room doesn't stay the same for any extended period of time. My overwhelming love of seasonal decorations always results in a mini room makeover at the start of a new season. This spring is no exception, and I thought I would share some of my go-to spring decorations that are perfect for giving any room a pop of color and a little life!

1. Flower Wall

I'll admit it, this is definitely my favorite spring decor that I've put up. As usual, I originally saw different variations of this idea floating around Pinterest. Considering how affordable and easy this DIY decor is, there's no reason to not try it!

First, you must gather your supplies:

-fake flowers of your choice

-scissors

-clear tape

I found my flowers at the dollar store and Micheals so they were all super affordable! You can go for a more uniform look by getting one type of flower or maybe similar colored flowers, it's up to you! I opted to get a variety of flowers and plants of different colors and sizes.

Now that you have your flowers of choice, it's time to chop 'em up (methodically of course)! Cut the flowers off of their stems leaving around 4in of stem to tape on the wall.

Once you have all of your stems you can begin to tape them on your wall! I used basic clear tape for this because I prefered the clean look it gives but you can always opt for a more colorful and fun option by using some bright washi-tape! The wall I was covering was about 10ft long and I only used 10 stems. The amount of stems you'll need will vary depending on how close you place them together and your wall size.

Tip: wrap tape around the stem until it the tape touches itself on the other side then stick the ends on the wall

Once you've put all your flowers up you will have an adorable flower wall that gives your room the perfect spring look!

2. Inspirational Quotes

I love this next idea because spring isn't only about flowers and anything light pink, it's also a time of organization and self-improvement! Using quotes as decor is a great way to turn any room into a motivational space. Plus its almost free!

I already had this pink clipboard from the dollar section of Target but you can find plain or colorful ones almost anywhere for inexpensive. You could also simply use some cute binder clips like these to hang your quotes!

Now its time to find a quote you like and print it out! I of course went to Pinterest to find my quote. Once you've found one, simply print it out and hang it however you please! This particular idea is very easy and affordable but there are tons of other ways to incorporate quotes into your decor.

3. Bright Organizers

As I mentioned above, spring is a great time to get organized! This next idea is getting some vibrant bins to store any miscellaneous items that may be cluttering your room. I love this idea because it's both practical and cute!

Pictured above is a before and after of my bookshelf when I swapped out my storage bins. While I still like my old wooden ones, this bright blue set from Marshalls fit the spring color scheme a bit better!

Bins like these are perfect for keeping any space aesthetic while adding a little pop of color. They're also fairly easy to find!

4. Plants

Spring is a wonderful time for nature, the weather is pleasant and greenery is lush. So why not bring a little of that life inside with some plants! Greenery is know to be an instant mood booster and even increase productivity! If you don't already have some plants in your room this spring season would be a great time to bring some in!

I just recently made the commitment of getting two real succulents after using faux ones for a long time out of fear of being a bad plant parent. Regardless of whether you want fake plants or real ones, they are a great addition to any space that just needs a little extra something. Another fun aspect of adopting a new plant is deciding what pot to put it in! This is super customizable, you could paint or decorate your pot in any way you please!

I prefer to have both faux and real plants. Using both makes it harder to differentiate between them, giving the illusion that you have more real plants!

5. Colorful Throw Blankets

Since the bed is the focal point of the room, it is important to spruce it up when giving the rest of a room new decor. Adding vibrant throw-blankets on a bed totally transform a space with minimal effort!

I got the blanket pictured above from Target, my go-to store for throw-blankets. As well as being the perfect pastel yellow color, this blanket is also has adorable little tassels! Layering on a fluffy throw blanket is also a great idea if you want to add some additional ~coziness~.
